Mika is pretty much full grown at this point and loves the snow. She still travels with me everywhere. We recently went hiking Mt Rainier. She's pretty lucky since its off limits to pets, she is a service dog so she came with me. Last semester was more work for her since she went to school full time with me, this semester I just have night school so she gets to stay home and play with Grammy while I'm gone. We just bought another 26 acres to start a new farm so she has plenty of sticks to proudly carry around.

She gets lots of active adventures constantly and eats better than most people. I cook her eggs or chicken or tuna mixed with rice and sometimes dog food but she is pretty spoiled when it comes to diet.

Just had a vet checkup who was way impressed with everything. Mika gets very very spoiled with about everything but she works hard. I play Rugby but honestly I hate running so I don't run except on the Rugby pitch, Mika and I train together and she has gotten very good at the game as well, especially rucks.

Having had German Shepherds for many years, we had high expectations for Jaxx. He has met those and surpassed some. At 5 months, he's 60 lbs. His intelligence is extraordinary; he began training at 10 weeks. That is sooner than we usually start, but he was so obviously ready. He could sit, stay and heel with just a few sessions. He has a good life for a dog. He gets up in the morning and goes to the farm then pretty much spends his days as he pleases, with a lesson interspersed here and there. He might chase a deer or squirrel, but we don't have to worry about his running off; he knows where the food comes from. That, and Ron's training keep him close by. As can be seen in the pictures, he's a beautiful dog and we couldn't be happier with him.

We are so totally gonna be "those" people, but 3 weeks later and we LOVE LOVE Kirah. She is absolutely a doll and growing like a weed. She is always into something but we just fall in love with her more and more everyday. She was playing in the huge puddles in our yard yesterday. It was hysterical. She is almost potty trained and very social. She is fearless and we have high hopes for her. She already shows promise for tracking. We look forward to getting another puppy from you someday!!

Our boy is growing up. He met his first professional dog trainer. He was suitably impressed. He has trained two thousand dogs - 20 some Belgian Malinois and countless Germans. He has not met a dog with the drive or intelligence of Jack. He stated.

No wonder Cedar County wanted him. New York would have too. I had him work on Jack's leash aggression. He found that it was anxiety, not aggression. I now have the tools to get him past it. He will be in search and rescue training this spring, and varied training this winter. We love him so. I will try to get him out to see you. He has a wonderfully sweet side and I am sure you would get kissed / tackled.

The trainer stated that Charlie has thought him more than we could have (though he stated he was impressed with where his head was at in suburbia.) Charlie is Jack's opposite in the spectrum. He grows smarter every day. You should be proud of what you do.

Since Gus has become a member of our family we have enjoyed many hikes, camping trips, and swims at the lake together. No matter where we take him, we always get complimented on how beautiful and well behaved he is. He has such a sweet personality and absolutely adores my son and any attention he can get (especially from children). He is very smart and trained easily. We couldn't be happier with how Gus turned out and are so blessed he is part of our family now!
